> Yes. Nutrola accepts government purchase cards (the charge shows as NUTROLA). Under the $15,000 micro-purchase threshold, card purchases generally need no SAM.gov registration.

Updated: 2026-11-04

## In short

- **$15,000** is the micro-purchase threshold in FAR 2.101, and a purchase under it that uses a government purchase card as both the purchasing and payment method needs no SAM.gov registration under FAR 4.1102(a)(1).
- Up to **624 people** stay under $15,000 for 12 months at the published prices (501 or more people pay $24 each).
- **12 months** of Nutrola Premium per seat, paid once, with nothing renewing automatically.
- **Group totals only**: the unit sees counts of people on the list, activated and active users, and an average of logged-meal days, never anyone's meals or weight.

Yes. Nutrola accepts government purchase cards on its invoice from Monorra LLC, and the charge appears on the card statement as NUTROLA. Under the federal micro-purchase threshold of $15,000, the limit for a small purchase, SAM.gov registration (the federal vendor registration system) is not required when a government purchase card is both the purchasing and the payment method. A 12-month order for up to 624 people costs under $15,000 at the published prices, as of November 2026.

## What do we need for our approval chain?

For an approval chain, ask for a formal PDF quote addressed to the person who approves the purchase. The order then follows these steps:

1. Request a quote by email at partnerships@nutrola.app or through the quote form.
2. Nutrola sends the formal PDF quote.
3. Your approval chain approves the purchase.
4. Send Nutrola the email address for each person, in a spreadsheet or plain list, along with the cardholder's contact details.
5. Nutrola sends the invoice to the cardholder.
6. The cardholder pays the invoice by card. The payment terms are on the quote.
7. Each person downloads Nutrola from the App Store or Google Play and signs up with their email address. Premium turns on within one business day of receiving the list and the payment, or of the person's sign-up if they sign up later.

## What is the micro-purchase threshold?

The micro-purchase threshold is the dollar limit that defines a micro-purchase, which is a small federal purchase. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) defines that limit in section 2.101 as $15,000. In plain words: the order total has to stay under that limit for the SAM.gov rule below to apply. Your cardholder or purchase card program office decides how the rule fits your order.

## Which team sizes stay under $15,000?

Teams of up to 624 people stay under $15,000 at the published prices. Staff licenses start at 10 people. Each seat is one person's Nutrola Premium access, tied to one email address on your list, and you pay for each seat you order. A seat that is never activated, or that belongs to someone who leaves, can move to someone else at no cost if you send the new email address.

| People | Per person, 12 months | Total, 12 months | Under $15,000? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $32 | $3,200 | Yes |
| 250 | $30 | $7,500 | Yes |
| 333 | $30 | $9,990 | Yes |
| 500 | $27 | $13,500 | Yes |
| 624 | $24 | $14,976 | Yes |

Some cardholders have a lower single-purchase limit set by their agency, for example $10,000: up to 333 people at $30 ($9,990) stays under it. The order is a one-time payment for 12 months, and nothing renews automatically. For how the price tiers work, read the [guide on how much Nutrola costs for a team](https://business.nutrola.app/guides/how-much-nutrola-costs-for-a-team/).

## What does each seat include?

Each seat gets Nutrola Premium, which covers meal logging by photo, barcode or voice, personal calorie and macro goals, water, fasting, exercise and weight tracking, a recipe library, short nutrition lessons, streaks and reminders, and sync with Apple Health and Google Health Connect. Nutrola is an AI calorie counter and food diary for iPhone and Android, available in 20 languages. It is a nutrition and calorie tracking app, not a medical device, and it does not give medical advice.

## Do we need to be registered in SAM.gov?

No. SAM.gov registration is not required for a purchase under the micro-purchase threshold that uses a government purchase card as both the purchasing and payment method. FAR 4.1102(a)(1) sets out that exception, and it names the Governmentwide commercial purchase card (the government purchase card).

## What shows on the card statement?

The charge appears on the card statement as NUTROLA. Monorra LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, issues the invoices. Its address is 800 N King Street, Suite 304 #3828, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA.

## What does our unit see about individual members?

Your unit sees group totals only. It never sees anyone's meals, photos, weight, body measurements, activity or account details, not even on request.

On request, the totals cover:

- how many people are on the list
- how many activated their access
- how many were active
- the average number of days with at least one logged meal

For a license, for example, you can ask for these totals monthly. Nutrola does not sell health data and does not use it for advertising. Anyone can delete their account and data in the app at any time. Health and fitness data is stored on the person's phone and on Nutrola's backend, and some of Nutrola's service providers are in the United States. For more on what organizations see, read the [guide on what employers see when staff use Nutrola](https://business.nutrola.app/guides/what-employers-see-when-staff-use-nutrola/).

## Do our agency's card rules still apply?

Yes. Each agency has its own purchase card rules, and the cardholder or the agency's purchase card program office decides whether this purchase fits them. This guide is not legal advice. Use FAR 2.101 and FAR 4.1102 as a starting point, then check your own rules before you order.

## How to get started

Start with the [quote form](https://business.nutrola.app/quote/) or email partnerships@nutrola.app. Ask for a formal PDF quote addressed to your approver if your approval chain needs one, and include your team size in your message.

## Quick answers

### What if someone on the list already pays for Nutrola?

The license goes on their existing account. They should cancel their own subscription in the App Store or Google Play so they are not charged twice, because only they can cancel a store subscription.

### Can we add people after we order?

Yes. People added later cost the same per-person price as the order, and each gets 12 months from the day their access turns on.

### Do members need to pay or enter card details?

No. Nobody on the list pays or enters card details.

### Does our IT team need to install anything?

No. There is nothing for the organization to install or connect. There is no admin dashboard and no single sign-on (SSO), so access works by email address.
